1. The software development consulting model . Consulting for software development projects is a complex work. However, often it is mandatory to initiate a partnership from the consultants’ position. At Codespring we divided the style of engagement according to the duration of the project, the complexity and the teams that must be assited through the consulting process. Therefore, we can speak about: a) hourly quotes for relatively easy projects; b) fix project quote for longer and more complex projects; or c) fix fee from the total project value for Project Management contracts.
2. The software development global fix price model. When dealing with short and medium term software development projects there is a practice called the “global fix price model”. It generally means that we have to initially deliver an estimation of the time, the type of work, the budget and the risks that one project may involve. Based on these items, the final offer will be build and discussed with the customer. The major benefit that you may have from thi type of engagement is that you know all the grounds of what is to be paid and delivered.
3. The software development time unit fix price model. This model best suits execution oriented software development contracts. Once we have decided the final team and the reporting methods, the price per time unit will be established. Negociations may differ according to the specific experience of each individual in the team, the size of the team and the duration of the software development project. Often, your Product Manager will be in direct collaboration with our Project Manager.
4.The software development integrated teams model. This is a type of engagement derived directly from the time unit fix price model. The main difference is that the Project Manager is located at the customers site. Usually, we use this model for longterm, complex software development projects where the full development cycle is being required. The overall project will beneft from the expertise of all integrated teams according to the occurent needs.
