Babeș-Bolyai University from Cluj-Napoca is Home to a Liferay Presentation

The Faculty of Informatics and Mathematics of the Babeș-Bolyai University, Hungarian Department, the Farkas Gyula Association for Mathematics and Informatics and Codespring invites you to the next session of the conference entitled Shufflers of Bits and Numbers (Bit- és Számtologatók). This session will cover a presentation about the Liferay Portal.

Do you know what Liferay Portal is capable of and why is it so popular in the Open Source community? With its 12 years of history from a CMS it became a Platform with many features and extension points. In this session we will run through some of the major features (Content management, Authentication, Staging, Document Management, Social, Collaboration, and more…) of an Out-of-the-box Liferay Portal to be able to setup it for your purpose, and will have a general overview on how to create new functions.

The conference is taking place under the framework of All students and interested parties are welcome to attend the conference and challenge the speaker with insightful questions.

The Babeș-Bolyai University is a Humboldt type of higher education and research institution that is aligned to the European credit system since 1998 and organizes academic education programs within the framework of the Bologna Process since 2005. The BBU has its center in Cluj-Napoca, but it also has many campuses located in other cities in Transylvania. The Farkas Gyula Association for Mathematics and Informatics serves as a background institution the Hungarian Institute of Mathematics and Informatics within the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of the BBU. The association aims to improve high education in Hungarian, to organize scientific research activities among teachers and students and to ensure appropriate conditions for this. In addition to this, the FGY Association engages is talent management and professional collegiate.
