The internship program has started at Codespring and we are ready to take off for bright new horizons! We are happy to announce eleven new interns at Codespring, all from the Babes-Bolyai Univeristy, the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics. Challenge accepted.

As a first step of our journey together, both mentors and mentees were invited to join the adventure challenges at Adrenalin Park, near Cluj. It is well known that Codespringers are outdoorsy people, fueled by a natural curiosity for exploration in various knowledge areas. We think it is important to convey to our mentees and probably future colleagues in software development our work and life philosophy.

Upgrade Yourself by Overcoming Each Challenge

Apart the fact that adventure at Adrenalin Park is awesome, it was the perfect context to know each other and try to overcome our own little fears and setbacks.

“Stop stopping yourself.” – said one little note from our debriefing session. So true! At Codespring we aim to unleash the potential of the team, but for that to happen each person must feel free to take action and expose his/her ideas.

“When one teaches, two learn.” – was a common shared thought among mentors left on a post it. Amazingly, this governing principle laid the foundation for knowledge transfer and many human society breakthroughs. We all agreed that it is always a win-win situation to teach and learn.

“We do not grow when things are easy; we grow when we face challenges!” – this sums it all, especially when you are facing the extreme adventure courses and the highly exposed obstacles on the aerial ropes! Put in a physically challenging context, the entire team had to acknowledge the power of mind over body and the importance of changing our thinking. At Codespring, we are constantly challenged to solve current issues while using new technologies. That is why it is so important for us to make everyone understand that with the same thinking you cannot bring new solutions on the table.

“It’s going to be hard, but hard is not impossible.” – such a fine line between what seems impossible and what is hard but manageable. We totally support this concept because it happened so many times, that solutions are not obvious, the progression is slow or we get stuck somewhere in the middle of the process. However, with a proper mindset and a good team dynamic, solutions always appear at that moment which seems just right for everyone: development team and customers.

In a nutshell: After such an epic Codespring internship Kick – Off we are eager to see what quirky projects will pop on the table! Team work is essential and the Team Adventure challenge course has definitely proven it!

Good luck to all the students enrolled! We are happy to have you around!
