Still shadowed by the covid19 pandemic effects, the well known EU Industry Days 2021 will take place online, from 23 – 26 February. In Romania, the local event partner is Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub from Cluj-Napoca, coordinated by Transilvania IT Cluster who will organize a local online satellite event called Romania’s Digital Future: Digital Transformation Opportunities. As a member of the Transilvania IT Cluster, SOFTECH from Cluj-Napoca, Romania encourages such initiatives for we consider important to accelerate the digital transformation of our country and region.

Heading 2: What is EU Industry Days?

EU Industry Days is Europe’s flagship annual event on industry. It serves as the main platform to discuss industrial challenges and co-develop opportunities and policy responses in an inclusive dialogue with a wide range of partners.

It also helps to ensure that our policies at European, national, regional and local levels work together to enable industries to deliver jobs, growth and innovation across Europe.

The 2021 edition of the EU Industry Days focuses on business case for greener, more digital and resilient industry. It aims to promote the EU industrial strategy in order to provide tools to support our industrial ecosystems in the global competition landscape. It also answers to the society’s call to create new quality jobs while respecting planetary boundaries.

The three main topics of 2021 are:

  • Shaping Europe’s digital future;
  • Making Europe’s industry climate-neutral by 2050;
  • EU competitiveness in the changing global competitive landscape.
