Recently, the IT sector has done impressive progress in promoting programming related professions towards women. At Codespring|Softech, we are happy to count around 34% women amongst our employees. International Women’s Day is the day the world celebrates all women across the planet. On this occasion, our software developer company greeted not only women in tech but also the qualities and the positive vibes they build our community with – every single day.

Women in Tech at Codespring Softech

At Codespring|Softech, our women software development and admin colleagues have a great impact on almost every phase of our company’s life. We are lucky to have them on board!

The Impact of Women in Tech Community

From the first moment you enter the workplace, you can feel the inviting and friendly atmosphere of the environment. They are involved from the onboarding process, to technical trainings and business meetings. They have a clear vision and tons of creative ideas regarding both general company well-being and communication.

Women often set the tone of a workplace, as they often tend to:

  • perceive and regulate the emotions of the environment
  • to organize and personalize the little details to create a cozy feeling everywhere they go
  • to consider everybody’s needs around them
  • They can be a safe place for those who surround them.

The 8th of March is the day our women colleagues are reassured that their unique qualities are seen and appreciated.

Countless Shades of Women in Tech

In our community, women colleagues surpass their roles: besides having an excellent qualification in their own field, they bring into the team their positive, problem-solving attitude, genuine curiosity, and openness to novelties or other perspectives, also a lot of experience gained from the other aspects of their lives, often balancing between multiple roles.

Outside the workplace many of them are also devoted mothers, wives, or even talented musicians, singers, dancers, photographers, artists, cooks, hair stylists, entrepreneurs, hikers, sportswomen, and charity volunteers. Each field of their lives requires paying attention to the smallest details while keeping in mind the bigger picture – in and outside the workplace. They do the best they can in everything they start – they let their dreams fly high while staying grounded when putting their ideas into practice.

The Way In Which Our True Colors Influence Our Potential

It’s really important for women to keep their vibes balanced, positive, and fun – not only for their own benefit but for all around them. The team warmly reciprocates their effort: on the celebration they were welcomed with beautiful flowers, sweets, and warm greetings from them.

This year they also got a special surprise. On the 11th of March, Codespring | Softech’s headquarters hosted an ultimate “girly” event: a professional color and style workshop held by the talented style and color consultant, Muresan Éva. In a few hours, the stylist gave the participants a glimpse into the fascinating world of personal color and body type analysis, explaining these fascinating women in tech how discovering their “true colors” and enhancing their unique beauty can shape other aspects of their lives, too.

Hacks to Influence How the World Sees Us

As she stated, becoming aware of how our environment forms an opinion about us – even subconsciously – based on our appearance is an underrated part of self-knowledge. That’s why discovering the most advantageous clothing colors and styles, as well as the most suitable makeup and hair color shades, gives us tools that help us in “hacking the system.” This way, we can not only show the world our most glowing side but also boost ourselves energetically to be more effective and positive in everyday life.

So, the benefits of this knowledge expand beyond the fact that we become prettier or look more harmonic, influencing others’ opinion about us. The fitting colors and styles also make women in tech – and outside the workplace – feel more energized, self-confident, and comfortable, all of which help us reach our highest potential and become our most self-assured version.

Turning Insecurities into New Possibilities

After the presentation of the color types and laying the foundation of discovering each one’s own color palette, the participants could ask their specific questions about styling. The event’s intimate, friendly atmosphere allowed everyone to speak openly about their insecurities and feel comfortable asking the speaker questions. The conversation offered a valuable lesson for everyone involved: beneath the surface, we all have our insecurities, but with the right knowledge, we can “tame” them or even turn them to our advantage.

Playful Moments in the Office

The event culminated in the last part: all the participants had the chance to try out the make-up shades and put on many different wigs the presenter brought to the event. All of the attendants had the freedom to let their inner little girl play: just as decades ago, they could once again stand in front of the mirror and look at themselves through totally different eyes.

They could explore the most different hair colors and styles they might never dare to try in everyday life. The room echoed from excited laughter when they saw their reflection in the mirror wearing bold red hair or some daring afro curls, even extreme violet locks – most of them for the first time in their lives.

Countless selfies, shared smiles, and a lot of inspiration – that’s what the attendants took home from this special Women’s Day event. The presentation was followed by a festive dinner where the women in tech could let their hair down, and share their freshest ideas, based on the knowledge they had gained.

Perhaps the most positive outcome of the event was that every participant experienced just how rejuvenating it can be to spend a few hours in which they are the very center of attention – and they all agreed that they deserve this on a regular basis.
