Although the days shortened and the temperatures lowered, the past fall–winter season brought warmth and new inspiration across Codespring | Softech team through an inspiring series of community, professional, and family-oriented events. The last months of the year showcased what truly defines our company culture: collaboration, constant development, and connection in and between people from Codespring’s three offices in Romania, Transylvania. Our software team members not only strengthened their professional ties during multiple events, but also supported the next generation of IT professionals, and celebrated together as colleagues and friends. Here is a look back on the activities that shaped our September–December season.

Community Events at Codespring Software Team

September began in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere at the Odorhei office, where we organized the sixth edition of our annual garden party. More than thirty people (including our colleagues and their family members) gathered for a day outdoors, cooking together, sharing stories, and watching children and parents alike form new friendships within our constantly growing team. Community events like this remind us that behind every successful software team stands a supportive network of families and friendships.

Shortly after, from September 12 to 14, mentors and IT students participating in local internship programs gathered in Merești, Harghita County, for the 2025 edition of the IT Plus Mentoring Camp. The weekend served as the official closing of the summer internship programs in the region, bringing together over twenty young tech enthusiasts, mentors, and university representatives. Students presented the projects they developed during their internships. They shared their plans, while the rest of the weekend offered time for hiking, exploring the Vârghiș Gorge and Cave, and relaxed conversations. Beyond technical results, the camp strengthened connections within the regional IT ecosystem.

Community Events and Mentorship: A Dynamic Autumn Start

Meanwhile, on September 13, several colleagues attended TEDxUdvarhely 2025, one of Odorhei’s major community events, held at the Rákóczi Center, gathering around 700 participants. As an all-time supporter of the event, we at Codespring | Softech were proud to see team members among the audience. This year’s theme, “What if…?”, invited participants to rethink education, technology, and human connections. Inspirational talks, vibrant networking moments, and artistic performances created an uplifting atmosphere that left participants energized and filled with new perspectives.

Mid-September marked another milestone: project presentations concluding the 2025 Summer Internship programs in our Cluj-Napoca and Odorhei offices. Thirteen students presented their projects developed under the mentorship of our dedicated senior programmers.

Among the showcased solutions, there was

  • a community web platform for IT students
  • a beekeeping management application
  • a digital health diary helping families track treatments
  • GDPR-compliant media management tools for corporate communication teams
  • an augmented-reality terrain editing system
  • a smart-home automation prototype.

These projects demonstrated not only technical creativity but also practical thinking aimed at solving real-world challenges. The presentations were concluded by informal networking and celebration, reinforcing mentorship as a key pillar of Codespring’s mission.

The series of our community events continued with the annual company team building and collaboration training, organized in September at Alpina Blazna. Colleagues from all the departments and offices participated in team-building activities, playful contests, and hike-based collaborative experiences– spending time together, outside the office, strengthened the collaboration level and allowed team members from different locations in Transylvania to connect on a much more personal level.

September closed on an international note at SISY 2025, the 23rd IEEE International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics in Subotica, Serbia. Seventeen participants from our mentoring programs – including students, mentors, and coordinators – attended the prestigious event: our mentored students presented their projects on an international stage, guided by their former mentors and coordinators. Beyond professional exposure, the conference offered memorable shared experiences, including cultural programs and joint celebrations, marking the culmination of a year-long mentorship journey.

Strengthening Connections in Our Software Team

The community events continued in October, with local gatherings and professional networking opportunities.
On October 16, colleagues and families from the Târgu Mureș office met for a cooking event, combining culinary creativity with board games and relaxed conversations. Such events allow our teams to spend meaningful time together beyond project deadlines, fostering friendships that strengthen daily collaboration.

Later that month, between October 24 and 25, several colleagues participated in the 10th DSZ – Digital Szeklerland Conference in Odorhei, organized by the IT Plus Cluster. The conference gathered around 250 participants from technology, business, public policy, and academia. Discussions focused primarily on the impact of artificial intelligence across industries – from logistics and healthcare to public administration and education & research. With 64 speakers contributing diverse perspectives, the community event provided valuable insights into how AI is reshaping workflows and decision-making processes in almost every aspect of our lives. For our software team members, it was also an excellent opportunity to expand their professional network and discover new partnership possibilities.

Active November Moments

As winter approached, November brought opportunities for indoor physical activity and team bonding. On November 21, colleagues from the Târgu Mureș office organized a wall-climbing event, encouraging participants to challenge themselves in a supportive and friendly environment. A special community event like this contributes to well-being and reinforces the importance of balance between work and personal health.

Closing the Year Together: December Celebrations

December is always one of the most anticipated periods of the year, as professional achievements give way to festive celebrations shared with colleagues and families.

During the first week of December, all three offices – Cluj-Napoca, Târgu Mureș, and Odorhei – celebrated Santa Claus Day together. Colleagues and their families gathered to bake and decorate gingerbread cookies together, creating a joyful atmosphere that delighted the youngest participants in particular. These moments help family members feel part of our extended workplace community and bring festive spirit into our offices.

The season culminated with the company-wide Christmas Party in Cluj-Napoca. Nearly 300 people – our colleagues and their guests – from all offices came together to celebrate the year’s achievements, enjoy festive meals, reconnect with teammates from different locations, and welcome the holiday season in good spirits. Laughter, dancing, and shared memories made the evening a fitting conclusion to a successful year.

Looking Back and Ahead

Reflecting on these months, one thing becomes clear: our achievements are not only measured in delivered projects or technological innovation, but also in the strength of the community we continue to build.

Through mentorship programs, conferences, social gatherings, and family-friendly events, our software team across Romania continues to grow not only professionally but also as a community that values learning, collaboration, and shared experiences.

As we move into the new year, we carry forward the energy, inspiration, and friendships deepened throughout this season, confident that together we can continue building meaningful solutions – and meaningful connections – in the months ahead.
